Drone Manufacturer DJI suspends sales in Russia and Ukraine to prevent its drones from being used in combat

Image
DJI has temporarily suspended sales and all business activities in both Russia and Ukraine "in light of current hostilities," the dronemaker has announced. As  Reuters  reports, that makes it the first major Chinese company to halt sales in Russia after the country started its invasion of Ukraine in February. Unlike their peers in the West, most Chinese companies have chosen to continue their operations in the country.  A DJI spokesperson told  Reuters  that it's not making a statement about any country by pulling out of Russia and Ukraine — it's making a statement about its principles. "DJI abhors any use of our drones to cause harm, and we are temporarily suspending sales in these countries in order to help ensure no-one uses our drones in combat," the spokesperson told the news organization.

Fridays on Future Tech: The Boy came up on his Michael Dell Intel Pentium Brain now he runs 'Quantum'

Image
Quantum computing is the study of a non-classical model of computation. Whereas traditional models of computing such as the Turing machine or Lambda calculus rely on "classical" representations of computational memory, a quantum computation could transform the memory into a quantum superposition of possible classical states. A quantum computer is a device that could perform such computation. Quantum computing began in the early 1980s when physicist Paul Benioff proposed a quantum mechanical model of the Turing machine. Richard Feynman and Yuri Manin later suggested that a quantum computer could perform simulations that are out of reach for regular computers. In 1994, Peter Shor developed a polynomial-time quantum algorithm for factoring integers. This was a major breakthrough in the subject: an important method of asymmetric key exchang...

Here's how your next Apple iPhone 12 might look

Image
Apple's flagship phone, the latest  iPhone 11 Pro Max   has been out less than 2 months now but rumours from what the next Apple iPhone 12 (if that's the name they eventually give it, lol) will look like are building up fast Apple is said to operate on a "three-year product refresh cycle" in which a concept is introduced and polished for three years, before the next radical change is introduced. According to very reliable Apple analyst and top leakster  Ming-Chi Kuo , Apple's new concept for the iPhone 12, the start of another three-year cycle, is said to include an additional "time of flight" (or TOF) camera lens. The TOF lens incorporates 3D-depth range scanning technology, and is said to be able to measure depth much more accurately than a regular camera. This is not only good for portraits and shots meant to highlight "deep" photos, but it's also great for augmented reality uses like Pokémon Go.

Today on DIY: Here's the solution to that frustrating issue where your Smartphone Automatically Switches Mobile Data Connections or Loses Mobile Data Connection entirely {Android}

Image
Most of us have definitely been in situations where you're probably on the move and you need to get some work done online quickly on your smartphone ( especially if you're a CEO like me, lol)   and you require a really fast 4G or 4G+ LTE  connection but your mobile network will often connect to 4G rather than 4G+ LTE when both are available.  Or it probably connects automatically to 3G or worse 2G . Or maybe you just get poor mobile network at your residence or workplace. You've probably asked the following questions? How can I either make the mobile network: • Only connect to 4G LTE • Never connect to 4G • Only connect to 4G+ LTE when both are available • Strongly prefer the 4G+ LTE connection over the 4G even when LTE has less bars. When this happens you can turn airplane mode on and off it may then reconnect to 4G LTE , or you might reboot your phone and get lucky. But often times, it's like no matter wha...

WhatsApp is inching closer to getting the long-awaited dark theme, but apart from traces in the app's beta builds, the feature is yet to arrive in its full-fledged version.  WhatsApp brings yet another trace of how the dark theme will actually look in the app's UI. More specifically, the updated build hints at the arrival of a Dark Default Wallpaper that will blend with the night blue colour scheme of the app's dark theme. However, the Dark Default Wallpaper is not accessible to beta testers at the moment. The latest WhatsApp update carries the build number v2.19.327 and is now available via the public beta channel.
