Grand Theft Auto VI Release Date Delayed till November 2026 as Company Shares Plunge $4bn

The release of Grand Theft Auto VI has been pushed back once more, causing Take-Two Interactive’s market value to drop by over $4 billion . Publisher Rockstar Games announced that the long-awaited sequel will now launch on November 19, 2026, shifting the release into the next financial year. Nigeria will miss a second consecutive FIFA World Cup after falling to DR Congo in a penalty shootout in the CAF playoff final. Frank Onyeka gave the Super Eagles an early lead, but Meschack Elia equalised before halftime. Both sides failed to find a winner in a tense second half and 30 minutes of extra time, leaving the match tied 1–1. DR Congo captain Chancel Mbemba converted the decisive penalty to send his team to the inter-confederation playoff, where they will seek their first World Cup appearance since 1974. Court grants former AGF Malami, Wife & Son 1.5 Billion Naira Bail

Justice Emeka Nwite of the Federal High Court in Abuja on Wednesday granted bail to the former Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abdulaziz Malami , his wife, and his son. Each defendant was admitted to bail in the sum of ₦500 million, accompanied by stringent conditions intended to ensure their appearance for trial. The court's decision follows Malami’s period in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), where he has been held since December 8. His detention followed a reported failure to satisfy administrative bail terms previously established by the commission. In his ruling, Justice Nwite mandated that each defendant must provide two sureties in like sum. These sureties are required to be owners of landed property within the high-brow Abuja neighborhoods of Asokoro, Maitama, or Gwarinpa. A high court has remanded 52 students of Ambrose Alli University (AAU) , following a protest against local insecurity that turned violent in Ekpoma, Edo State. The demonstration was initially organized by residents to decry a recent surge in killings and kidnappings. However, the situation escalated as mobs looted commercial shops and vandalized the ancestral palace of the Onojie of Ekpoma. _______________________ _______________________ While police moved in to restore order, several students claimed they were caught in a dragnet. Impeachment Proceedings Against Governor Fubara Begin in Rivers Assembly

The Rivers State House of Assembly has commenced impeachment proceedings against Governor Siminalayi Fubara and his deputy, Ngozi Oduh . During Thursday’s plenary, presided over by Speaker Martins Amaewhule and broadcast live on Channels Television, the House Majority Leader, Major Jack, read out a notice of allegations and gross misconduct against the governor. The notice, signed by 26 lawmakers, cited breaches of the Nigerian Constitution. Speaker Amaewhule stated that the notice would be formally served on Governor Fubara within seven days. Deputy Majority Leader Linda Stewart also presented a separate notice of allegations against Deputy Governor Oduh. Both notices were issued pursuant to Section 188 of the 1999 Constitution. Arsenal and England ace midfielder Declan Rice has been hit with a six-month driving ban after being caught speeding twice on the same road in just one week. The £105million midfielder was first caught doing 37mph in a 30mph zone on January 3 last year. Barely five days later, the 26-year-old was caught again on the same stretch of the A217, hit for doing 49mph in a 40mph limit. The England international, who did not attend the hearing at Crawley Magistrates Court Tuesday, 01/06/25, he was hit with a £2,185 bill in fines and costs.  The disqualification comes after the new offences took his license to 15 points, way over the total limit. The trial of Nigerian internet punter Benjamin Best , popularly known as Killaboi , is set to commence today, Thursday, January 15, 2025. ___________________ RELATED : K!llaboi & Austa: The Billionaire Punter, The Model, and the M8rder That Shook Social Media! ___________________ Mrs. Cordelia Okonye, mother of the late Augusta Onuwabhagbe, confirmed the development in a post on her social media page, stating that the matter would be heard at the High Court, Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos. Best is accused of killing 21-year-old Onuwabhagbe, a student of Lead City University, at his residence located at No. 24a Abiola Apooyi Street, Oral Estate in Ajah, Lagos, in July 2023. He reportedly fled the country shortly after the incident and was declared wanted by Nigerian authorities. Vince Zampella who co- founded Call of Duty video game franchise dead at 55 in horrific car crash [WATCH]

Vince Zampella , the influential co-creator of the Call of Duty franchise and founder of Respawn Entertainment, was killed Sunday 12/21/25 in a high-speed, single-car accident in the San Gabriel Mountains. He was 55 years. The crash occurred at approximately 12:45 p.m. on a scenic stretch of road north of Los Angeles. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), Zampella was driving a 2026 Ferrari 296 GTS southbound when the vehicle veered off the pavement immediately after exiting a tunnel. The red sports car struck a concrete barrier with enough force to eject a passenger from the vehicle. While the passenger was rushed to a local hospital, they later succumbed to their injuries.
