Millions of women in the US will lose the constitutional right to abortion, after the Supreme Court overturned its 50-year-old Roe v Wade decision. The judgement paves the way for individual states to ban the procedure. Half are expected to introduce new restrictions or bans. Thirteen have already passed so-called trigger laws to automatically outlaw abortion. President Joe Biden described it as "a tragic error" and urged states to enact laws to allow the procedure. After the Supreme Court ruling, abortion access is expected to be cut off for about 36 million women of reproductive age, according to research from Planned Parenthood, a healthcare organisation that provides abortions.The landmark 1973 Roe v Wade case saw the Supreme Court rule by a vote of seven to two that a woman's right to terminate her pregnancy was protected by the US constitution. The British Government has ordered the immediate closure of the Salvation Proclaimer Ministries Limited, more commonly known as SPAC Nation, belonging to a popular UK-based Nigerian pastor, Tobi Adegboyega, over an alleged £1.9 million fraud. On May 20, 2020, Mr Adegboyega stepped down as Lead Pastor of SPAC Nation and handed it over to Samuel Akokhia and Damy Balogun.   Reports indicate that Investigators interviewed one of the company’s directors, Adedapo Olugbenga Adegboyega, who was also known as Dapo Adegboyega or Pastor Dapo. During the interview, Mr Adegboyega said the church group had over 2,000 members and 200 ordained ministers and pastors but failed to provide any supporting information. Rapper Megan Thee Stallion said she wants Tory Lanez “to go to jail” for allegedly shooting her in 2020. The “WAP” hitmaker, 27, suffered several gunshot wounds to her feet in June 2021 and alleges it was fellow rapper Lanez, 29, who fired the shots. Lanez, who is set to face trial in September allegedly begged Megan to keep quiet about the incident because he was on probation at the time. The “Savage” rapper whose real name is Megan Jovon Ruth Pete said she initially told police she stepped in glass because she feared for both of their lives. “I want him to go to jail. A cross-section of men in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has said that the sperm donation business in the country is not lucrative. In separate interviews on Monday in Abuja, they said selling sperm was less profitable in Nigeria when compared to other countries.According to Kalu Ekene, a lawyer, the procedure of donating sperm is stressful, and when compared with the money, it is a waste of time.  “The procedure is ridiculous. I was told I would be paid N150,000 for each donation, but this will be after I have successfully fulfilled all medical requirements,” explained Mr Ekene.  He said donors must undergo medical examinations such as HIV, syphilis, hepatitis B and C, sickle cell and some other sexually transmitted diseases before they can sell their sperms.  “The money for the test and check-up was more than what I will be paid,” noted Mr Ekene. “I found it to be a waste of time. The Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, on Tuesday, sentenced two drug traffickers, Chibunna Patrick Umeibe and Emeka Alphonsus Ezenwane, who were linked to the suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police, DCP, Abba Kyari, to six years imprisonment. The court, in a judgement that was delivered by trial Justice Emeka Nite, convicted Umeibe and Ezenwanne on counts 5, 6 and 7 of the drug trafficking charge the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, preferred against them. It will be recalled that the duo, who were arrested at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport in Enugu while attempting to smuggle cocaine into the country, were on March 7 arraigned before the court alongside DCP Kyari and four other police officers- ACP Sunday J. Ubia, Insp. Simon Agirigba, Insp. John Nuhu, and ASP Bawa James.

Law enforcement says a passerby called 911 Thursday after discovering Cooper unconscious in a mall parking lot outside Los Angeles. The Federal Government of Nigeria has linked the Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) to the attack on the St. Francis Catholic church in Owo, Ondo State on Sunday, June 5th. Though the terrorist group has not claimed responsibility for the attack, the Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, fingered them while briefing state house correspondents after a meeting of the National Security Council presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa in Abuja today June 9th. NDLEA chairman Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa has asked that youth corps members undergo a drug test. Marwa made the call when he hosted the Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, Brig. Gen. Mohammed Fadah led his management team on a courtesy visit to the NDLEA headquarters in Abuja on Wednesday 8th, 2022. Former Lagos State Governor, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, took a major step toward his ambition of becoming Nigeria’s President by winning the All Progressives Congress’ presidential primary at a special convention held in Eagle Square, Abuja. He won the election by beating the likes of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, and the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan. More than 2,300 delegates voted in the contest that produced Tinubu as the presidential flagbearer of the ruling party. The breakup comes just days after the 44-year-old rapper was pictured at the movies with a mystery woman, who fans believe is the glamorous influencer Monica Corgan.  Kanye and Chaney, 24, are said to have ended things after their trip to Japan, but it is not clear who broke up with who.  It was only a month ago that Chaney showed off a tattoo dedicated to the rapper on her wrist, with an inscription that read 'Ye,' the name which Kanye goes by legally.  The model has since removed pictured of Kanye from her Instagram account and they no longer follow one another.  The pair were first spotted together at a party in Malibu, California, while he was still believed to be casually dating Uncut Gems actress Julia Fox.
