Dangote Announces $700m Education Investment for Nigerian Students
Aliko Dangote , chairman of the Dangote Group, has announced that his foundation will invest $700 million in Nigerian education over the next decade. Speaking on Sunday at the 2025 Doha Forum in Qatar, the industrialist said the initiative will support more than 155,000 students across secondary schools and universities nationwide. During a panel session alongside Bill Gates and Sheikha Al Mayassa , Dangote highlighted the role of innovation, philanthropy and cultural investment in expanding opportunities across Africa. He noted that the funding aims to reduce the number of out-of-school children and equip more young Nigerians with the technical skills needed to drive economic growth.
