Anda Damisa, Nigerian Influencer known as 'Lazywrita' leaves Cryptic Instagram Scheduled Post before committing Su!c!de

Anda Damisa, a Nigerian Influencer & content creator popularly known online as “LazyWrita,” on December 29 announced his own death in a scheduled post shared on Instagram before killing himself.

In the post, Damisa disclosed that he had deactivated his other social media platforms, including his TikTok and YouTube accounts.

In the months leading up to the announcement, Damisa had spoken publicly about his mental health struggles and his decision to step back from social media.
In a detailed post shared on his Instagram page on Monday, he spoke of being deeply weary of life, expressed gratitude to friends and loved ones for their years of support, and indicated that he no longer had the strength to go on.

He described himself as “happy, unburdened and free,” and offered farewell messages to close friends and a former lover, urging them not to feel guilt or blame themselves for his decision. He wrote:

 Don’t cry for me please o… I lived a full and adventurous life, people who know me can testify, I just don’t have the energy to continue anymore.

Now, I am Happy, Unburdened and FREEEEEE !!! The only things i regret is not watching the new episodes of Stranger Things 😩 and not getting married to the LOML when I had a chance to till she moved on. She’s reading this. Please don’t cry and don’t shoulder any blame regardless of everything we went through. Through my happiest and saddest days, You were the best thing that ever happened to me. I wan’t you to LIVE, LOVE, LAUGH, MAKE BABIES and be HAPPY!

USA Announces Visa Suspension for Nigerians, Effective January 1, 2026

The United States has announced a partial suspension of the issuance of certain visas to Nigerian nationals, effective from January 1, 2026, following a new presidential proclamation on border and national security. In a statement issued on Monday, the US Mission in Nigeria said the restriction will take effect at 12:01 a.m. Eastern Standard Time on January 1, 2026, in line with Presidential Proclamation 10998, titled “Restricting and Limiting the Entry of Foreign Nationals to Protect the Security of the United States.” Nigeria is among 19 countries affected by the measure. Others listed include Angola, Antigua and Barbuda, Benin, Burundi, Côte d’Ivoire, Cuba, Dominica, Gabon, The Gambia, Malawi, Mauritania, Senegal, Tanzania, Togo, Tonga, Venezuela, Zambia and Zimbabwe. German police have launched an intensive manhunt after one of the largest bank heists in Germany’s recent history, in which thieves drilled into the underground vault of a Sparkasse savings bank in Gelsenkirchen and stole cash, gold and jewellery estimated at about €30 million . The carefully planned robbery occurred over the Christmas holiday in the Buer district of Gelsenkirchen, western Germany. Investigators believe the suspects took advantage of the prolonged holiday closure to access the vault unnoticed. Police said the gang drilled through a thick concrete wall to enter the basement vault, where they systematically forced open thousands of customer safe deposit boxes and removed valuables worth tens of millions of euros. The Lagos State Government with the approval of the state Governor Babajide Sanwo Olu has cancelled the 2025 Greater Lagos Fiesta, the annual end-of-year celebration that traditionally ushers residents into the New Year with music, fireworks and large public gatherings. The cancellation was confirmed on Tuesday by the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Gboyega Akosile. According to the statement, the decision was taken with the governor’s approval, barely a day before the event was scheduled to hold on December 31. A Nigerian delegation led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, met with Burkina Faso’s military leader, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, in Ouagadougou on Wednesday, conveying a message of solidarity from President Bola Tinubu. The suspension comes shortly after Efe emerged as Africa’s most-followed Twitch streamer, a milestone achieved following a high profile livestream featuring Afrobeats star Davido. Burkina Faso ’s military government has confirmed the detention of 11 Nigerian military personnel and the seizure of a Nigerian Air Force cargo aircraft that entered the country’s airspace without authorisation before making an emergency landing. In a statement issued late Monday, the Alliance of Sahel States (AES) said the C-130 aircraft was compelled to land on December 8, 2025, in Bobo-Dioulasso following an in-flight emergency. The bloc said the aircraft, which belonged to the Nigerian Air Force, had flown over Burkinabe territory without the required clearance.
