Vince Zampella who co- founded Call of Duty video game franchise dead at 55 in horrific car crash [WATCH]

Vince Zampella , the influential co-creator of the Call of Duty franchise and founder of Respawn Entertainment, was killed Sunday 12/21/25 in a high-speed, single-car accident in the San Gabriel Mountains. He was 55 years. The crash occurred at approximately 12:45 p.m. on a scenic stretch of road north of Los Angeles. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), Zampella was driving a 2026 Ferrari 296 GTS southbound when the vehicle veered off the pavement immediately after exiting a tunnel. The red sports car struck a concrete barrier with enough force to eject a passenger from the vehicle. While the passenger was rushed to a local hospital, they later succumbed to their injuries. The release of Grand Theft Auto VI has been pushed back once more, causing Take-Two Interactive’s market value to drop by over $4 billion . Publisher Rockstar Games announced that the long-awaited sequel will now launch on November 19, 2026, shifting the release into the next financial year. A high court has remanded 52 students of Ambrose Alli University (AAU) , following a protest against local insecurity that turned violent in Ekpoma, Edo State. The demonstration was initially organized by residents to decry a recent surge in killings and kidnappings. Impeachment Proceedings Against Governor Fubara Begin in Rivers Assembly

The Rivers State House of Assembly has commenced impeachment proceedings against Governor Siminalayi Fubara and his deputy, Ngozi Oduh . During Thursday’s plenary, presided over by Speaker Martins Amaewhule and broadcast live on Channels Television, the House Majority Leader, Major Jack, read out a notice of allegations and gross misconduct against the governor. The notice, signed by 26 lawmakers, cited breaches of the Nigerian Constitution. Speaker Amaewhule stated that the notice would be formally served on Governor Fubara within seven days. Deputy Majority Leader Linda Stewart also presented a separate notice of allegations against Deputy Governor Oduh. Both notices were issued pursuant to Section 188 of the 1999 Constitution. Court grants former AGF Malami, Wife & Son 1.5 Billion Naira Bail

Justice Emeka Nwite of the Federal High Court in Abuja on Wednesday granted bail to the former Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abdulaziz Malami , his wife, and his son. Each defendant was admitted to bail in the sum of ₦500 million, accompanied by stringent conditions intended to ensure their appearance for trial. The court's decision follows Malami’s period in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), where he has been held since December 8. His detention followed a reported failure to satisfy administrative bail terms previously established by the commission. In his ruling, Justice Nwite mandated that each defendant must provide two sureties in like sum. These sureties are required to be owners of landed property within the high-brow Abuja neighborhoods of Asokoro, Maitama, or Gwarinpa. USA Announces Visa Suspension for Nigerians, Effective January 1, 2026

The United States has announced a partial suspension of the issuance of certain visas to Nigerian nationals, effective from January 1, 2026, following a new presidential proclamation on border and national security. In a statement issued on Monday, the US Mission in Nigeria said the restriction will take effect at 12:01 a.m. Eastern Standard Time on January 1, 2026, in line with Presidential Proclamation 10998, titled “Restricting and Limiting the Entry of Foreign Nationals to Protect the Security of the United States.” Nigeria is among 19 countries affected by the measure. Others listed include Angola, Antigua and Barbuda, Benin, Burundi, Côte d’Ivoire, Cuba, Dominica, Gabon, The Gambia, Malawi, Mauritania, Senegal, Tanzania, Togo, Tonga, Venezuela, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
