Diane Keaton Dead at 79¡ "I Should Have Married Her When I Had the Chance" - Al Pacino

Legendary actress Diane Keaton passed away in California on Saturday, October 11. 

The Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) confirmed that they responded to Keaton’s home at 8:08 a.m. local time and transported the 79-year-old to a nearby hospital.

She shared a famous on-and-off romance with Al Pacino, 85, from 1971 to 1987, which began on the set of The Godfather, where Pacino portrayed Michael Corleone and Keaton played his wife, Kay. 

Their sixteen-year relationship was famously tumultuous, culminating in a dramatic ultimatum from Keaton: “Marry me or else.” Heartbroken, Pacino walked away a decision he reportedly still regrets.

Keaton, who rose to fame in the 1970s with her iconic role in The Godfather films and through her collaborations with director Woody Allen, won an Academy Award for Best Actress for 1977’s Annie Hall. Her illustrious career also included hits like The First Wives Club, multiple projects with director Nancy Meyers, and the Book Club franchise.

Eminent Nigerian author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie has alleged medical negligence in the death of her 21-month-old son, Nkanu Nnamdi, who passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2026.  Adichie’s media team confirmed to ARISE News on Saturday that the author penned a detailed statement of the incident, which was originally shared privately with family and close friends before becoming public. In the statement, Adichie said her son was taken to Euracare Hospital for an MRI scan and the insertion of a central line. He was sedated for the procedure but allegedly not properly monitored after being administered propofol, resulting in severe complications, including loss of responsiveness, seizures, and cardiac arrest. The account, dormant since Elon Musk’s $44 billion takeover, now displays a "Rule Violation" notice, though the company has not specified which policy was broken. The move marks a symbolic end for the "Blue Bird" era. Since the 2023 rebrand, Musk has steadily erased legacy features to make room for his "everything app" vision. Court grants former AGF Malami, Wife & Son 1.5 Billion Naira Bail

Justice Emeka Nwite of the Federal High Court in Abuja on Wednesday granted bail to the former Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abdulaziz Malami , his wife, and his son. Each defendant was admitted to bail in the sum of ₦500 million, accompanied by stringent conditions intended to ensure their appearance for trial. The court's decision follows Malami’s period in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), where he has been held since December 8. His detention followed a reported failure to satisfy administrative bail terms previously established by the commission. Arsenal and England ace midfielder Declan Rice has been hit with a six-month driving ban after being caught speeding twice on the same road in just one week. The £105million midfielder was first caught doing 37mph in a 30mph zone on January 3 last year. Barely five days later, the 26-year-old was caught again on the same stretch of the A217, hit for doing 49mph in a 40mph limit.
