Charles Kirk was assassinated in Utah on September 10th, 2025. The major suspect in the shooting has been arrested and is named 22 year old Tyler Robinson a native of Utah where Charles Kirk was assassinated.


Who is Tyler Robinson


Tyler Robinson, 22, is a Utah native who had been living with his parents "for a long time", authorities said.


Robinson was taken into custody on 12 September after a family member recognised him in surveillance images, a development investigators described as pivotal in ending a nationwide manhunt.

The FBI offered up to a $100,000 reward moments after Charles Kirk's assassination for information leading to the arrest of the shooter of right-wing activist, Charlie Kirk.

Kirk, 31, was assassinated on Wednesday during an event at Utah Valley University. The offer of a reward comes after the FBI released photos of a person of interest in the case.

The images show what the FBI described as someone of an age to have “blended in well with a college institution.” The individual in a photo provided by law enforcement was wearing a hat and sunglasses along with an American flag T-shirt with an eagle on it.
 
“The FBI is offering a reward of up to $100,000 for information leading to the identification and arrest of the individual(s) responsible for the murd£r of Charlie Kirk,” the bureau wrote on the social platform X.
 
“We do have good video footage of this individual,” Utah Department of Public Safety Commissioner Beau Mason said in an early Thursday morning press conference.
 
“If we’re unsuccessful in identifying them, immediately, we will reach out for the public’s help and the media’s help in pushing those photos.”

The family member that apparently gave Tyler up was Robinson's father who Tyler made the confession to about kiling Charlie Kirk, he encouraged Tyler to turn himself in. 

The father then reportedly contacted a family friend who informed the sheriff's office.

At a press briefing on Friday announcing the arrest, FBI officials declined to discuss Robinson's background, political leanings, or possible motive, saying the investigation was ongoing.

"We are confident we have the right individual in custody," an FBI spokesperson said, "but we are still working to establish the full picture of who he is and why he acted."

World   renowned boxer Anthony Joshua was involved in a road accident earlier today in Makun, Ogun State. Eyewitnesses say the incident occurred around 11 a.m. on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, near Danco Filling Station, before the Sagamu Interchange on the Ibadan-bound lane. The United States has announced a partial suspension of the issuance of certain visas to Nigerian nationals, effective from January 1, 2026, following a new presidential proclamation on border and national security. In a statement issued on Monday, the US Mission in Nigeria said the restriction will take effect at 12:01 a.m. Eastern Standard Time on January 1, 2026, in line with Presidential Proclamation 10998, titled “Restricting and Limiting the Entry of Foreign Nationals to Protect the Security of the United States.” Nigeria is among 19 countries affected by the measure. Godiya Akwashiki , Nigerian Senator representing Nasarawa North Senatorial District, has died at the age of 52. A family source confirmed to journalists that the lawmaker passed away on Wednesday at a hospital in India, where he had been receiving treatment for a protracted illness. The family, in a statement, described his passing as a "great loss" to Nasarawa State and the country at large. Prior to being flown abroad, Akwashiki had reportedly been battling health challenges for several months. Born on August 3, 1973, in Angba Iggah, Akwashiki was a seasoned legislator. German police have launched an intensive manhunt after one of the largest bank heists in Germany’s recent history, in which thieves drilled into the underground vault of a Sparkasse savings bank in Gelsenkirchen and stole cash, gold and jewellery estimated at about €30 million . The carefully planned robbery occurred over the Christmas holiday in the Buer district of Gelsenkirchen, western Germany. Investigators believe the suspects took advantage of the prolonged holiday closure to access the vault unnoticed. Police said the gang drilled through a thick concrete wall to enter the basement vault, where they systematically forced open thousands of customer safe deposit boxes and removed valuables worth tens of millions of euros. Burkina Faso ’s military government has confirmed the detention of 11 Nigerian military personnel and the seizure of a Nigerian Air Force cargo aircraft that entered the country’s airspace without authorisation before making an emergency landing. In a statement issued late Monday, the Alliance of Sahel States (AES) said the C-130 aircraft was compelled to land on December 8, 2025, in Bobo-Dioulasso following an in-flight emergency.
