Jake Paul Faces Anthony Joshua tonight in high stakes boxing showdown with 10% win chance for Paul

YouTube star-turned-boxer Jake Paul (28) is set to face British heavyweight world champion Anthony Joshua (36) in a highly anticipated and widely criticised boxing showdown.

The bout, scheduled for Florida, will end a 14-month absence from the ring for 36-year-old Joshua, while representing the biggest and most dangerous test yet for 28-year-old Paul since he launched his professional boxing career in 2020.

Paul has long insisted he wants to measure himself against the sport’s most feared punchers, the kind of fighter many professionals spend a lifetime avoiding, and the clash with Joshua fulfils that ambition.

The fight will take place on Friday, December 19, at the Kaseya Center in Miami.

The eight-round professional heavyweight contest will be streamed live worldwide on Netflix, beginning at 8 p.m. ET (5 p.m. PT).

Betting odds heavily favour Joshua, who is given an 88.9 per cent chance of victory, while Paul is rated at around 10 per cent, with a draw priced at 2.8 per cent, according to Oddschecker.

The Rivers State House of Assembly has commenced impeachment proceedings against Governor Siminalayi Fubara and his deputy, Ngozi Oduh . During Thursday’s plenary, presided over by Speaker Martins Amaewhule and broadcast live on Channels Television, the House Majority Leader, Major Jack, read out a notice of allegations and gross misconduct against the governor. Each defendant was admitted to bail in the sum of ₦500 million, accompanied by stringent conditions intended to ensure their appearance for trial. The court's decision follows Malami’s period in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), where he has been held since December 8. The United States has announced a partial suspension of the issuance of certain visas to Nigerian nationals, effective from January 1, 2026, following a new presidential proclamation on border and national security. In a statement issued on Monday, the US Mission in Nigeria said the restriction will take effect at 12:01 a.m. Eastern Standard Time on January 1, 2026, in line with Presidential Proclamation 10998, titled “Restricting and Limiting the Entry of Foreign Nationals to Protect the Security of the United States.” Nigeria is among 19 countries affected by the measure. Vince Zampella , the influential co-creator of the Call of Duty franchise and founder of Respawn Entertainment, was killed Sunday 12/21/25 in a high-speed, single-car accident in the San Gabriel Mountains. He was 55 years. The crash occurred at approximately 12:45 p.m. on a scenic stretch of road north of Los Angeles.
