Presidency to Reveal Sponsors of Terrorism Soon - Daniel Bwala

The Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Policy Communication, Daniel Bwala , has announced that the Federal Government is finalising plans to reveal the identities of individuals and networks responsible for financing terrorism in Nigeria. Speaking during an appearance on Television Continental (TVC) on Sunday, November 30, Bwala said the administration is taking “far-reaching decisions” on national security, which will soon become evident to the public. “Since the events of 9/11, terrorism has been treated as a global security issue. Any nation where terrorists operate becomes a concern to the rest of the world. Terrorists Mock Tinubu's Government In Viral Video, Insist Kebbi Schoolgirls Were Not Rescued But Freed After 'Peace Deal' [WATCH]

A new viral video has emerged alleging that the bandits who abducted schoolgirls in Kebbi State reached an agreement with the Nigerian government before the hostages were released. The students of Government Girls Secondary School, Maga, Kebbi State, were freed on Tuesday, Nov. 25. Authorities had earlier insisted that no ransom was paid to secure their release. However, in the newly circulated footage, the armed men claim the government negotiated with them prior to freeing the girls. This video reveals that the Kebbi school students were released through negotiations between the government and the kidnappers. The Catholic Diocese of Kontagora has reported that an additional 88 students have been declared missing following Friday’s attack on St. Mary’s Secondary School in Papiri, Agwara Local Government Area of Niger State.  In a statement issued on Saturday, November 22, the Bishop of Kontagora Diocese, Most Rev. Bulus Dauwa Yohanna, said the total number of missing students has risen to 303. The Bishop had earlier confirmed that 215 students were unaccounted for, while four female and eight male teachers were abducted during the raid.  He explained that the school has a population of 430 pupils in the primary section and 199 students in the secondary section.  In a statement issued on Saturday, November 22, the Bishop of Kontagora Diocese, Most Rev. Gunmen Abduct 227 in Overnight Raid on Niger State School ¡

Nigeria’s  insecurity crisis deepened on Friday as gunmen abducted 227 people during an overnight attack in Papiri, Niger State. The assailants struck between 2 a.m. and 3 a.m., storming St. Mary’s Catholic Primary and Secondary Schools, a boarding facility. According to authorities, 215 students and 12 teachers were taken. No fatalities were reported, though a security guard sustained gunshot injuries. Police and military personnel have launched a joint search operation in surrounding forests and have pledged to secure the safe release of the victims. Officials say the attack bears similarities to previous kidnappings linked to ransom-driven criminal groups. The Niger State government accused the school of disregarding earlier directives to suspend boarding activities due to escalating threats in the area. World   renowned boxer Anthony Joshua was involved in a road accident earlier today in Makun, Ogun State. Eyewitnesses say the incident occurred around 11 a.m. on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, near Danco Filling Station, before the Sagamu Interchange on the Ibadan-bound lane. Joshua was traveling in a Lexus SUV, registration number KRD 850 HN, which reportedly collided with a stationary truck. USA Announces Visa Suspension for Nigerians, Effective January 1, 2026

The United States has announced a partial suspension of the issuance of certain visas to Nigerian nationals, effective from January 1, 2026, following a new presidential proclamation on border and national security. In a statement issued on Monday, the US Mission in Nigeria said the restriction will take effect at 12:01 a.m. Eastern Standard Time on January 1, 2026, in line with Presidential Proclamation 10998, titled “Restricting and Limiting the Entry of Foreign Nationals to Protect the Security of the United States.” Nigeria is among 19 countries affected by the measure. Others listed include Angola, Antigua and Barbuda, Benin, Burundi, Côte d’Ivoire, Cuba, Dominica, Gabon, The Gambia, Malawi, Mauritania, Senegal, Tanzania, Togo, Tonga, Venezuela, Zambia and Zimbabwe. Nigerian Senator Godiya Akwashiki Dead at 52

Godiya Akwashiki , Nigerian Senator representing Nasarawa North Senatorial District, has died at the age of 52. A family source confirmed to journalists that the lawmaker passed away on Wednesday at a hospital in India, where he had been receiving treatment for a protracted illness. The family, in a statement, described his passing as a "great loss" to Nasarawa State and the country at large. Prior to being flown abroad, Akwashiki had reportedly been battling health challenges for several months. Born on August 3, 1973, in Angba Iggah, Akwashiki was a seasoned legislator. His political journey began in the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, where he served from 2011 to 2019. Thieves Drill into German Bank Vault, Steal €30m in Cash & Gold in Massive Christmas Heist

German police have launched an intensive manhunt after one of the largest bank heists in Germany’s recent history, in which thieves drilled into the underground vault of a Sparkasse savings bank in Gelsenkirchen and stole cash, gold and jewellery estimated at about €30 million . The carefully planned robbery occurred over the Christmas holiday in the Buer district of Gelsenkirchen, western Germany. Investigators believe the suspects took advantage of the prolonged holiday closure to access the vault unnoticed. Police said the gang drilled through a thick concrete wall to enter the basement vault, where they systematically forced open thousands of customer safe deposit boxes and removed valuables worth tens of millions of euros. The Lagos State Government with the approval of the state Governor Babajide Sanwo Olu has cancelled the 2025 Greater Lagos Fiesta, the annual end-of-year celebration that traditionally ushers residents into the New Year with music, fireworks and large public gatherings. The cancellation was confirmed on Tuesday by the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Gboyega Akosile. According to the statement, the decision was taken with the governor’s approval, barely a day before the event was scheduled to hold on December 31.
