Grand Theft Auto VI Release Date Delayed till November 2026 as Company Shares Plunge $4bn
Publisher Rockstar Games announced that the long-awaited sequel will now launch on November 19, 2026, shifting the release into the next financial year. The company had previously delayed the game’s debut from autumn 2025 to May 2026.

The setback marks yet another postponement since Grand Theft Auto V was released in 2013. Analysts had expected the new title to be one of the biggest launches in gaming history, potentially generating $3 billion in its first year.
The delay dampens hopes for a near-term revival in the console gaming market, which has struggled to regain momentum since the pandemic-era boom.
