Disgraced Former Prince Andrew will move into King Charles' remote private estate amid Jeffrey Epstein scrutiny

King Charles III has arranged for his younger brother, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, to relocate to the Sandringham estate, a private royal property in eastern England. The decision follows years of public backlash tied to Andrew’s association with the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and subsequent scandals.

The move will see the 65-year-old former prince leave Royal Lodge, his 30-room residence on the Windsor Castle grounds, as he continues to step back from public life and royal duties. While he has been stripped of his official status and privileges, Andrew will still occupy comfortable accommodation on the secluded estate.

Sandringham, situated in one of the U.K.’s least populated regions, is not a state-owned royal residence. Because it is privately held, the king hopes the arrangement will reduce public scrutiny and help manage continuing anger over Andrew’s scandals.

The Rivers State House of Assembly has commenced impeachment proceedings against Governor Siminalayi Fubara and his deputy, Ngozi Oduh . During Thursday’s plenary, presided over by Speaker Martins Amaewhule and broadcast live on Channels Television, the House Majority Leader, Major Jack, read out a notice of allegations and gross misconduct against the governor. The notice, signed by 26 lawmakers, cited breaches of the Nigerian Constitution. Speaker Amaewhule stated that the notice would be formally served on Governor Fubara within seven days. Justice Emeka Nwite of the Federal High Court in Abuja on Wednesday granted bail to the former Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abdulaziz Malami , his wife, and his son. Each defendant was admitted to bail in the sum of ₦500 million, accompanied by stringent conditions intended to ensure their appearance for trial. The court's decision follows Malami’s period in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), where he has been held since December 8.
