WTA US OPEN FINALS: Who will reign Supreme between Aryna Sabalenka & Amanda Anisimova
Head-to-head: Amanda Anisimova leads 6-3, but the pair have split the honors in their two Grand Slam level meetings this season. The pair also came away with one win each in their latest two hard-court meetings in 2024. Regardless of what the odds say, this final is all the recipe to be a close one.

Aryna Sabalenka had reached at least the semifinals in the first three Grand Slam events of the season, but was not able to come away with the title in any of those occasions.
The top seed has given herself another chance to win a major title in 2025 after surging into the US Open final.
The defending champion's path to the final was anything but straightforward, even if it involved receiving a walkover from Marketa Vondrousova in the quarterfinals. She had to deal with tiebreaks against Polina Kudermetova and Leylah Fernandez, and a set deficit against Jessica Pegula in the semifinals.
Amanda Anisimova stood a game away from crashing out of the semifinals while up against two-time US Open champion Naomi Osaka. Instead, the red-hot American pushed the match to well beyond the midnight mark and delighted the thinning Arthur Ashe crowd with a 6-7, 7-6, 6-3 comeback.
The 24-year-old made a rocky start to the US Open, a tournament where she had never gone past the third-round stage and had not won a match since 2021. Following challenging moments against Maya Joint and Jaqueline Cristian, she was unstoppable against Beatriz Haddad Maia and Iga Swiatek.
The victory over Iga Swiatek - during which she dropped just seven games - must have been a satisfying one, given her devastating 6-0, 6-0 loss to the Pole in her maiden Slam final at Wimbledon a few weeks ago. She has the chance to win just her fourth career title (3-4 in finals) and the first on home soil.
