Charles Kirk was assassinated in Utah on September 10th, 2025. The major suspect in the shooting has been arrested and is named 22 year old Tyler Robinson a native of Utah where Charles Kirk was assassinated.


Who is Tyler Robinson


Tyler Robinson, 22, is a Utah native who had been living with his parents "for a long time", authorities said.


Robinson was taken into custody on 12 September after a family member recognised him in surveillance images, a development investigators described as pivotal in ending a nationwide manhunt.

The FBI offered up to a $100,000 reward moments after Charles Kirk's assassination for information leading to the arrest of the shooter of right-wing activist, Charlie Kirk.

Kirk, 31, was assassinated on Wednesday during an event at Utah Valley University. The offer of a reward comes after the FBI released photos of a person of interest in the case.

The images show what the FBI described as someone of an age to have “blended in well with a college institution.” The individual in a photo provided by law enforcement was wearing a hat and sunglasses along with an American flag T-shirt with an eagle on it.
 
“The FBI is offering a reward of up to $100,000 for information leading to the identification and arrest of the individual(s) responsible for the murd£r of Charlie Kirk,” the bureau wrote on the social platform X.
 
“We do have good video footage of this individual,” Utah Department of Public Safety Commissioner Beau Mason said in an early Thursday morning press conference.
 
“If we’re unsuccessful in identifying them, immediately, we will reach out for the public’s help and the media’s help in pushing those photos.”

The family member that apparently gave Tyler up was Robinson's father who Tyler made the confession to about kiling Charlie Kirk, he encouraged Tyler to turn himself in. 

The father then reportedly contacted a family friend who informed the sheriff's office.

At a press briefing on Friday announcing the arrest, FBI officials declined to discuss Robinson's background, political leanings, or possible motive, saying the investigation was ongoing.

"We are confident we have the right individual in custody," an FBI spokesperson said, "but we are still working to establish the full picture of who he is and why he acted."

Court grants former AGF Malami, Wife & Son 1.5 Billion Naira Bail

Justice Emeka Nwite of the Federal High Court in Abuja on Wednesday granted bail to the former Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abdulaziz Malami , his wife, and his son. Each defendant was admitted to bail in the sum of ₦500 million, accompanied by stringent conditions intended to ensure their appearance for trial.
