Baltasar Ebang Engonga Avomo (born 15 March 1978) is a former Equatoguinean public official who served as the head of the National Agency for Financial Investigation (ANIF).
In this capacity, he oversaw financial regulation and investigative efforts aimed at combating financial crimes, including money laundering and corruption, in line with national and international financial standards.
On Wednesday, Aug 27, 2025, Baltasar Ebang Engonga, the senior government official from Equatorial Guinea was sentenced to eight years in prison after being convicted of embezzlement.
During the investigation, authorities uncovered more than 400 explicit recordings allegedly involving Baltasar and women from a wide range of backgrounds, including several prominent figures such as:
• Pregnant women
• The President’s sister
• The wife of the Police General Director
• Spouses of more than 20 ministers
• Women from Uganda and Ghana
Reports suggest Baltasar never discriminated, engaging with women of all ages, social statuses, and nationalities in locations ranging from offices and public restrooms to forests and city streets, all of which were said to have been captured on video.
This story goes far beyond the existence of sex tapes it’s about the devastation left in their wake:
• One woman tragically took her own life.
• Others were sent back to their families in disgrace, with dowries demanded in return.
• Entire households were torn apart.
Baltasar’s actions didn’t just harm the women involved; they sent shockwaves through the social and political fabric of Equatorial Guinea¡
