IN REVIEW: Instagram Rolling Out Amber Alerts to help find missing Children {Watch}
Across the social media platform, Instagram started rolling out Amber Alerts from June 1st.

Amber Alerts were created shortly after the missing turned death case of Amber Hagerman {pictured above}. She was was kidnapped from Arlington, Texas and murdered.After her death, an emergency alert system was developed to facilitate the rapid distribution of information to the public about child abduction incidents. The system, named in remembrance of Amber Hagerman, was initially a voluntary partnership between law enforcement agencies and media broadcasters to send out emergency alerts to the public when a child was abducted and believed to be in imminent danger.
The alerts will take over the screen while users are in the app and feature as much information as available from the Amber Alert Networks.
